Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in preparing and cooking pizzas to perfection. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and customer specifications.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, adhering to food safety standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicers safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including utensils and work surfaces.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking ingredient usage and notifying management of low stock levels.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately when necessary, providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, especially in pizza preparation or similar roles.
- Basic math skills for managing inventory and handling cash register operations.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS systems is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe cooking environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Experience in grocery store or café settings is beneficial.
- Retail math skills are advantageous for managing sales transactions effectively.
