Position Overview
SureLoadr is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Sales & Strategic Growth to lead new customer acquisition, revenue development, strategic partnerships, and go-to-market execution.
This is a senior, hands-on sales position for a professional who understands the transportation industry and can develop relationships with motor carriers, fleets, industry associations, service providers, and other participants in the freight and logistics ecosystem.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building SureLoadr’s sales pipeline, closing new business, developing repeatable sales processes, and helping establish the company as a trusted provider of freight broker credit intelligence.
Because SureLoadr is a growing company, this position requires someone who is comfortable working independently, creating structure, testing new sales strategies, and taking direct ownership of revenue growth.
Compensation
- $100,000 annual base salary

Final commission terms, including qualifying revenue, payment timing, customer attribution, cancellations, refunds, renewals, and chargebacks, will be defined in the employee’s written compensation agreement.
Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development
- Identify, engage, and close new customers within the trucking, freight, logistics, and transportation industries.
- Develop relationships with owner-operators, small and midsize motor carriers, fleet operators, dispatching companies, freight service providers, and transportation-related organizations.
- Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, industry events, email outreach, telephone outreach, social selling, and strategic partnerships.
- Conduct product demonstrations and clearly communicate how SureLoadr helps carriers evaluate freight broker creditworthiness and payment risk.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, discovery, qualification, demonstration, proposal development, negotiation, closing, and initial customer handoff.
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Develop targeted sales campaigns for specific transportation-industry customer segments.
- Reengage inactive prospects and develop strategies for converting interested carriers and trial users into paying customers.
- Identify opportunities to expand relationships with fleets, associations, transportation service providers, and enterprise accounts.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects throughout the sales cycle.
Sales Strategy and Market Growth
- Create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with SureLoadr’s customer-acquisition and revenue objectives.
- Help define ideal customer profiles, buyer personas, market segments, sales territories, and account-prioritization criteria.
- Develop repeatable prospecting, qualification, demonstration, follow-up, negotiation, and closing processes.
- Recommend pricing, packaging, promotional, and customer-conversion strategies based on market feedback and sales performance.
- Identify new revenue opportunities, including fleet accounts, enterprise relationships, channel partnerships, association programs, referral programs, and industry integrations.
- Work directly with company leadership to establish sales forecasts, performance targets, customer-acquisition goals, and growth priorities.
- Monitor competitive products, transportation-market conditions, and customer needs to identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Provide structured feedback that can influence product development, customer onboarding, marketing, pricing, and retention initiatives.
- Develop market-entry strategies for new customer segments and geographic territories.
- Test and refine sales messaging based on prospect responses and conversion data.
Strategic Partnerships
- Identify and pursue partnerships with trucking associations, fleet-management providers, dispatching services, factoring companies, insurance providers, transportation software companies, load boards, educational organizations, and other industry participants.
- Develop referral, affiliate, channel-sales, and co-marketing relationships that expand SureLoadr’s market reach.
- Negotiate partnership terms that support sustainable customer and revenue growth.
- Represent SureLoadr in discussions with prospective strategic partners and key industry stakeholders.
- Build long-term relationships with organizations serving owner-operators, small fleets, and growing transportation companies.
- Identify opportunities for bundled services, platform integrations, data partnerships, and joint promotional campaigns.
- Track partnership performance and recommend ways to improve referral volume and conversion rates.
Sales Operations and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, opportunities, communications, sales activity, and projected revenue within the company’s customer relationship management system.
- Establish and manage pipeline stages, follow-up standards, forecasting procedures, and sales-performance reporting.
- Prepare regular reports covering pipeline activity, conversion rates, new revenue, customer-acquisition costs, closed sales, sales-cycle length, and forecasted performance.
- Analyze sales data to identify bottlenecks, improve conversion rates, and optimize outreach strategies.
- Document successful sales methods and create scripts, templates, presentations, proposals, follow-up sequences, and objection-handling resources.
- Coordinate with leadership to ensure contracts, pricing, commission attribution, and customer commitments are properly documented.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and communicate potential risks or delays.
- Develop reporting dashboards that provide leadership with visibility into sales performance and future revenue.
- Recommend sales tools, systems, and processes that improve efficiency and accountability.
Customer and Industry Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with transportation professionals and serve as a knowledgeable representative of the SureLoadr brand.
- Develop a strong understanding of the operational and financial challenges faced by motor carriers.
- Educate prospective customers on freight broker payment risk, credit intelligence, and the value of conducting broker evaluations before accepting loads.
- Collect customer feedback and communicate market needs to product and leadership teams.
- Participate in transportation conferences, trade shows, webinars, association meetings, and networking events when appropriate.
- Support customer onboarding and ensure a professional transition from the sales process to ongoing account support.
- Identify common customer concerns and help create educational materials that address those concerns.
- Maintain awareness of trucking-industry trends, broker payment issues, freight-market conditions, and carrier business challenges.
- Represent SureLoadr professionally in all customer, partner, and industry interactions.
Brand and Market Development
- Help increase awareness of SureLoadr throughout the transportation and trucking industries.
- Collaborate with leadership on sales-oriented marketing campaigns, webinars, industry presentations, and educational content.
- Identify opportunities for customer testimonials, case studies, referrals, and industry endorsements.
- Support the development of messaging that clearly communicates SureLoadr’s value proposition.
- Provide input on website content, sales collateral, product demonstrations, and customer communications.
- Build relationships with transportation media, professional groups, and industry influencers when appropriate.
- Help position SureLoadr as a trusted source of freight broker credit intelligence.
Team Development
- Help determine future sales staffing needs as the company grows.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and managing additional sales representatives.
- Establish performance expectations, accountability standards, and sales-development processes for future team members.
- Mentor junior sales personnel and promote an ethical, consultative, and customer-focused sales culture.
- Develop training materials for future sales and business-development employees.
- Help create compensation structures, territories, quotas, and performance-management standards.
- Support the transition from a founder-led sales model to a scalable sales organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- At least five years of professional experience in the transportation, trucking, freight, logistics, or supply-chain industry.
- At least three years of direct sales, business development, account management, strategic partnerships, or revenue-growth experience.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, develop a sales pipeline, negotiate agreements, and close new business.
- Strong working knowledge of the trucking and freight ecosystem, including motor carriers, freight brokers, dispatchers, factoring companies, load boards, or transportation software providers.
- Ability to communicate effectively with owner-operators, fleet executives, operations personnel, and senior business leaders.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, relationship-management, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, entrepreneurial, and performance-driven environment.
- Experience using customer relationship management software and maintaining accurate sales records.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities through different stages of the sales cycle.
- Willingness to take direct ownership of measurable revenue and customer-acquisition goals.

Preferred Qualifications
- Existing professional relationships within the trucking, freight brokerage, fleet-management, or transportation-technology industries.
- Experience selling software, subscription services, data products, financial services, credit products, or technology solutions to transportation companies.
- Experience working with owner-operators, small fleets, or small and midsize transportation businesses.
- Experience developing strategic partnerships, association relationships, referral channels, or affiliate programs.
- Experience building a sales function or go-to-market process for a startup or early-stage company.
- Familiarity with transportation credit risk, broker payment practices, freight factoring, accounts receivable, or carrier financial operations.
- Experience selling through telephone outreach, email campaigns, social selling, product demonstrations, conferences, and industry networking.
- Experience hiring, training, or managing sales representatives.
- Experience creating sales forecasts, revenue reports, commission plans, and pipeline-management procedures.
- Familiarity with subscription-based or recurring-revenue business models.

This is a remote position that requires the ability to work independently, communicate consistently, and remain accountable for performance goals.
Some travel may be required for transportation-industry conferences, trade shows, customer meetings, association events, or strategic partnership discussions.
