Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and artistic flair
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all food preparation areas
- Source fresh ingredients daily and manage inventory to minimize waste while ensuring quality
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new sushi recipes and seasonal menu items
- Educate team members on proper sushi techniques and presentation standards
- Ensure timely service during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Uphold restaurant policies and procedures related to food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant or culinary setting
- Deep knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including knife skills and rice cooking methods
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on presentation and quality control
- Creative mindset with the ability to innovate while respecting traditional methods
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
