American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Transplant ICU position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and night shift availability in Oklahoma City, OK.

Hospital-based position in a Neuro Transplant ICU
-
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Level 1 trauma patient population with complex neurological cases
-
13-week contract
-
Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Level 1 trauma experience and neuro experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

NIHSS certification preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Responsible for managing an assigned group of neurological and transplant ICU patients, including monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary

Administers medications, manages IV infusions, and monitors blood products
-
Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders

Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Engages patients and families in care planning throughout the hospital stay and at discharge

Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
-
Previous travelers or workers must have a 6-month separation period after 26 total weeks worked at this facility before being eligible for a new contract
