Role Description The Dental Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in south Charlotte, NC. This role supports dentists during clinical procedures, prepares treatment rooms, and ensures that instruments and materials are ready and organized. Daily responsibilities include assisting with patient intake, chairside assisting during exams and treatments, taking and processing X-rays as permitted, and providing patients with clear post-treatment instructions. The Dental Assistant also manages sterilization of instruments and operatory areas, maintains dental equipment, updates patient records, and helps with scheduling or front-desk tasks as needed. The role requires consistent attention to infection control protocols, compassionate patient interaction, and effective collaboration with the clinical and administrative teams.
Qualifications
- Clinical support skills in Dental Assisting and Dentistry to effectively assist providers during procedures.
- Patient-focused skills in Dental Care and Oral Care to help deliver safe, comfortable, and informed treatment experiences.
- Knowledge of Sterilization practices and infection control standards to maintain a clean and compliant clinical environment.
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Current radiography certification and any required state-specific dental assisting credentials (or eligibility to obtain them).
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting.
- Commitment to respectful, inclusive patient care and teamwork in a diverse workplace.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Dentrix dental practice management software are beneficial.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
