Position Summary
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide person-centered support to individuals receiving APD waiver services. You will assist clients in achieving greater independence while promoting safety, inclusion, confidence, and community participation.

Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful, person-centered support.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and daily routines.
- Encourage independence, self-confidence, and community involvement.
- Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement.
- Safely transport clients to medical appointments, work, school, shopping, recreational activities, and community events.
- Follow all traffic laws and practice safe, defensive, and courteous driving.
- Maintain a clean, reliable vehicle and immediately report any accidents, citations, or changes affecting driving eligibility.
- Observe and accurately document services provided and client progress.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect client rights at all times.
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, support coordinators, and team members.
- Follow all APD, Medicaid, and Bloom & Belong LLC policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Florida driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle with current registration and auto insurance.
- Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening.
- Compassionate, dependable, professional, and punctual.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Willingness to complete all required APD and agency training.
