POSITION SUMMARY
Execute FAC product manufacturing and business group requirements by utilizing mechanical skillsets to deliver orders that meet customer expectations while maintaining FAC quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consistently achieve high quality when working on product assembly and modification from documentation (prints, illustrations, and schematics).
- Display workmanship that meets process demand (including FAC standards, customer specifications, and/or appropriate industrial standards).
- Sequentially follow step-by-step instructions provided in the Manufacturing Process Plan, documenting all in-process checks.
- Using engineering design documents, place, assemble, and secure robots and associated equipment in defined locations.
- Move robots via teach pendant when required.
- Test and functionally verify products as defined (PDE EX testing and engineer guidelines).
- Troubleshoot or debug mechanical problems.
- Disassemble and prepare FAC product for shipment.
- Properly care for and use FAC tools in compliance with the Tool Management Procedure (check out and return FAC tooling daily).
- Comply with all FAC Robot Safety Procedures (including but not limited to Haz Mat, Lock Out Tag Out, and RSIS robot safety).
- Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism in appearance, communication, and work area organization/cleanliness.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 1-2 years in a related field (Level M1); 2-4 years (Level M2); 5 or more years (Level M3).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (M1); high school diploma or equivalent plus trade schooling in a mechanical-related field (M2); Associate degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience (M3).
- Certifications: Basic technical trainings (M1); FANUC Trainings, Certified Maintenance Technician, Certified Mechanical Technician (M2); FANUC Training, Advanced Maintenance Technician or Advanced Mechanical Technician (M3).
- Technical Skills (M1): Proficiency in hand and power tools; basic understanding of technical drawings and schematics; familiarity with basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Technical Skills (M2): Ability to use precision measuring instruments; decipher standard mechanical drawings with minimal assistance; familiarity with predictive maintenance (PM) techniques.
- Technical Skills (M3): Decipher all mechanical drawings (legend symbols / unique characters) independently; experienced in leading a small team and training.
- Solid communication skills, both oral and written.
- Self-driven, maintaining a disciplined approach to responsibilities.
- Self-motivated while working both individually and with a team.
- Knowledgeable on ISO 9001 requirements.
- Ability to interpret and comprehend mechanical engineering documentation, prints, and/or schematics.
- Basic computer knowledge for data entry and documentation.
- Basic math skills.
- Must have when starting: a roll-around / lockable toolbox (tooling list will be provided).
- Must have when starting: steel toe boots and a copy of the dress code policy.
- Physical requirements: ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds of material.
