Infant & Toddler Lead Teacher (Full-Time)
Location: Bakersfield, CA 93312 - 3400 Calloway Dr, Ste 501
Pay: $20–$24 / hour, depending on experience and credentials
Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday (center hours 6:30 AM–6:00 PM)

Aldea is building the premier infant and toddler program in Kern County — and we're looking for the teacher who wants to help lead it.
This isn't a fill-a-slot role. We want someone who genuinely loves the infant and toddler stages, who lights up watching a baby figure out cause-and-effect, and who wants a real hand in shaping how we care for and grow our youngest kiddos. You'll help develop our curriculum and scaffolding for early development, mentor the teachers alongside you, and own the feel of our infant and toddler rooms.

What you'll do
- Lead daily care and learning in our infant and toddler rooms with warmth, consistency, and a whole lot of intention
- Partner with ownership to build and refine our infant/toddler curriculum and developmental scaffolding
- Coach and support fellow teachers so the whole room runs at a high standard
- Build trusting, communicative relationships with parents — they're leaving us the most important thing in their world
- Keep the room safe, clean, and fully compliant with California licensing (Title 22)
- Observe and document each child's development and help us show real, measurable growth
What we're looking for
Required
- Genuine love for the infant and toddler stages — this is the whole job
- California Title 22 fully-qualified infant care teacher: 12 ECE/child development units, including at least 3 units in infant/toddler care
- At least 2 years of verified experience in a licensed infant care center (or comparable program for children under five)
- Current pediatric CPR & First Aid (or willingness to obtain before start)
- Ability to meet health & background clearance requirements (Live Scan, immunizations, TB clearance)
Bonus Points
- Prior lead, mentor, or curriculum experience
- Additional ECE units or a degree in Child Development
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience with Brightwheel or similar childcare platforms
