We are open 7 days a week 9am-12am. The position we are currently seeking for is the closing shift, minimum 3 nights a week.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, boba, and kava, following established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems such as Clover POS to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash register operations, including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries with enthusiasm
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling surfaces in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling beverages and handling light food items as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service roles within cafés or the food industry
- Strong knowledge of beverage service techniques and non-alcoholic beverage preparation
- Familiarity with POS systems like Clover, Aloha, or Toast POS for retail sales transactions and cashiering duties
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math calculations, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
