We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee the daily operations of our dietary department in a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
This role is essential in supporting resident health, satisfaction, and overall quality of care.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of dietary services, including meal preparation, service, and sanitation
- Ensure compliance with Title 22, CMS, and state dietary regulations
- Plan, implement, and evaluate menus in collaboration with a Registered Dietitian
- Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards (infection control, HACCP, etc.)
- Monitor food and supply inventory; manage ordering and cost controls
- Conduct audits and ensure readiness for state surveys
- Address resident dietary needs, preferences, and special diets
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning
- Ensure a positive dining experience for residents
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required (or eligibility)
- ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years of dietary management experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition regulations
- Experience supervising staff in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting
- Familiarity with electronic dietary or healthcare systems
- Bilingual skills (a plus, depending on population served)
