Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional care within our Skilled Care Units. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience across various healthcare settings including long-term care, hospitals, assisted living, and memory care facilities. As a CNA in this role, you will play a vital part in supporting patient well-being, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for individuals with diverse healthcare needs. Your expertise in medical documentation, vital signs monitoring, and specialized care such as Alzheimer's and dementia will be essential to delivering high-quality service.
Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and medical documentation standards.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments through tailored approaches.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans aligned with patient needs.
- Maintain infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and ensure adherence to safety standards across all patient interactions.
- Engage in patient service activities that promote comfort, safety, and emotional support.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
- Proven experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living, or home health settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Experience with Point Click Care (PCC) system is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health conditions.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices including aseptic techniques and infectious disease care protocols.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks using equipment like Hoyer lifts safely and effectively.
