Substitute Teacher Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher
- Manage the classroom to encourage participation and minimize disruptions
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and playground areas
- Provide in-class and take-home assignments as outlined in lesson plans
Requirements
- At least 36 college credit hours in any subject or completion of a Missouri DESE-approved online substitute training program
- Missouri Teaching License or Substitute Certificate
- Willingness to complete a fingerprint-based background check (contact Penmac before completing this step)
- Completion of required training provided by Penmac
