Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend ongoing therapies for pain management and health improvement
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and treatment outcomes
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation protocols and safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive patient care
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education requirements
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification
- Proven experience in patient service, customer care, and occupational health settings
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques
- Excellent communication skills for patient assessment and education
- Prior experience working in med spas or wellness centers is preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as needed
