Serve as the bridge between patients, providers, and pharmacies to ensure swift medication access.

Monitor and respond to prescription renewal requests within 48 hours, following established protocols.

Handle requests outside standard guidelines by collaborating with pharmacists and providers.

Proactively schedule appointments, provide refills, and facilitate lab orders to maintain patient access to medications.

Promptly address prior authorization requests, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

Demonstrate expertise in the prior authorization process, including benefits verification and appeals preparation.

Maintain precise and current documentation in Legacy’s EMR and Pharmacy systems.

Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to foster strong relationships.

Embrace additional duties as assigned, contributing to a cohesive team effort.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
-
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician.

Minimum 5 years experience as a certified pharmacy technician.

Demonstrates strong written communication skills for accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMRs).

Exhibits excellent verbal communication skills when interacting with patients.

Provides outstanding customer service in all patient and provider interactions.

Possesses a strong understanding of the medication prescribing process.

Capable of performing core duties of a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), including interpreting prescription orders, recognizing common chronic medications, demonstrating accurate and efficient typing skills, calculating dispense quantities, refills, and days supply, reconciling patient medication lists, assessing medication adherence based on fill history.

Demonstrates basic competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Shows ability to navigate and utilize electronic medical records systems.

Spanish speaking preferred.
