Experienced Household Manager / Housekeeper
Compensation: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 25–35 hours per week, depending on the household's weekly needs. This position operates on a rolling schedule, with work schedules provided at least two weeks in advance.
We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and experienced Household Manager/Housekeeper to become an integral part of our home. This position is for someone who takes pride in creating and maintaining a peaceful, highly organized, and exceptionally clean environment while working efficiently and independently.
We are looking for a professional with outstanding instincts for managing all aspects of a busy household. The ideal candidate can follow detailed instructions with precision while also exercising excellent judgment, common sense, and initiative when working independently.
Our home is also a working environment, with both a home office and homeschooling taking place throughout the day. It is essential that you are able to work efficiently, quietly, and respectfully while maintaining a calm, organized atmosphere.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily tidying and resetting the home to maintain a clean, peaceful environment.
- Deep cleaning on a rotating schedule to ensure every area of the home remains exceptionally maintained.
- Laundry management, including washing, drying, folding, ironing, steaming, stain treatment, and ensuring clothing, linens, and household textiles are properly cared for, organized, and put away.
- Creating and maintaining highly functional organizational systems throughout the home.
- Running household errands as needed.
- Managing shopping lists, placing grocery and household supply orders, and ensuring all areas of the home remain fully stocked and running smoothly.
- Packing and unpacking for outings, activities, and household needs.
- Weekly meal preparation and cooking.
- Preparing meals and snacks as needed during scheduled work hours.
- Providing proactive household support by anticipating needs and ensuring daily operations run efficiently.
The ideal candidate understands the important distinction between routine daily maintenance and true deep cleaning and organization. We are seeking someone who naturally notices details, takes initiative, and consistently leaves every space refreshed, organized, and reset.
As you become familiar with our household routines, we expect you to develop strong instincts for anticipating needs before they arise. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, able to balance multiple priorities throughout the day, adjust as needs change, and efficiently prioritize tasks to ensure everything is completed on schedule for the smooth operation of the home.
Our household follows a largely chemical-free cleaning philosophy. Experience with natural or low-toxicity cleaning methods is preferred, though we are happy to provide training. We supply premium cleaning products and equipment, and it is important that candidates are attentive to proper product use and care due to the quality and expense of these supplies.
Qualifications:
- Extensive professional housekeeping or household management experience.
