Morro Creek Ranch (IMPORTANT - PLEASE DO NOT disturb retail store sales people - reply here with resume) is seeking a dependable, organized delivery driver. This person will be our customer-focused sales and product representative for an established local route and wants to grow the route.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in providing excellent service, communicates well, and is interested in helping grow the route through strong customer relationships.
Position: Delivery Driver – Sales, and product representative
Location: Morro Bay and surrounding areas
Schedule: Flexible Monday through Friday – Part-time
Experience: Delivery or route-sales experience preferred.
Clean Driving Record Required
Required: This is a physical job: You must be able to be on your feet, and lift at least 35 lbs - this is part on the road and part lifting, unloading product
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver avocado orders accurately, safely and on schedule.
- Confirm orders and quantities before leaving the ranch and upon delivery.
- Communicate promptly with customers and ranch management regarding delays, shortages, schedule changes, or other delivery issues.
- Process customer payments using an iPad and Square Reader.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, payment information, mileage, and customer notes.
- Provide friendly, professional service at every customer location.
- Develop positive relationships with existing customers.
- Identify opportunities to add new accounts and grow the delivery route.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Follow all company procedures and safe-driving requirements.
- Other duties relating to the position as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable using technology, including an iPad, Square, email, and basic reporting tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to accurately handle products, paperwork, and customer payments.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. DMV Report required.
- Delivery driving, customer service, or route-sales experience.
