Internal Medicine practice is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). We are looking for a motivated professional who is comfortable working directly with the physician and has previous medical scribing experience.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing excellent patient care while maintaining accurate, efficient medical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs
- Document physician-patient encounters in real time (medical scribing)
- Update medical histories, medications, and allergies
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Perform EKGs, injections, phlebotomy, and other clinical duties within certification and training
- Coordinate patient flow throughout the day
- Answer clinical phone calls and assist with patient messages
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Qualifications
Required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Previous medical scribing experience
- Strong computer and typing skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office
Preferred
- Internal Medicine or Primary Care experience
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) electronic medical record
- Phlebotomy experience
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
