Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Outpatient Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting, focusing on a range of behavioral health issues. This role requires a strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities and the ability to work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care. This is a fee for service position that focuses on not only providing talk therapy but utilizing techniques to help engage the body. Our clinic is connected to a Pilates and Yoga studio, which allows accessibility for clients to develop a comprehensive holistic treatment approach. Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
- Provide therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the needs of children and adolescents.
- Implement behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, including ICD-9 coding.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support for clients.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in outpatient therapy.
- Provide direct support to clients during therapy sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
Experience
- A degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is required.
- Previous experience working with children in a therapeutic setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with behavioral health concepts and crisis intervention strategies is essential.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding and documentation practices is advantageous.
- Experience in behavior management techniques and gender issues counseling will be considered a plus.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients are crucial for success in this role.
