Position Definition: The Swimming Instructor is responsible for teaching swimming lessons, ensuring safety in the pool, and enforcing pool rules. This role involves working with individuals of all ages and abilities, including children, teens, adults, and people with disabilities. Additionally, the position occasionally includes lifeguard duties and assisting with other tasks to maintain a safe and enjoyable swimming environment.
General Duties:

Teach swimming lessons to children, teenagers, adults, and individuals with disabilities.

Certify swimmers who meet the necessary skill levels.

Serve as a lifeguard when assigned, ensuring safety in and around the pool.

Enforce pool safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all patrons.

Help with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the pool area.

Assist with special events or additional tasks as needed to support the swimming program
