What You’ll Do
Support Food Distributions
- Welcome and assist neighbors during mobile and school pantry events
- Help with registration and check-in using tablets and digital systems
- Collect and verify basic household information with confidentiality and care
- Answer questions and guide participants through the distribution process
- Assist with packing and distributing food or directing traffic as needed
Community Outreach & Program Support
- Distribute door hangers and outreach materials in Sarasota County neighborhoods
- Set up and remove signage to guide participants to distribution sites
- Deliver promotional materials to schools, partners, and community organizations
- Prepare materials for outreach events and activities
- Collect participant feedback through surveys to improve services
- Support additional events and program activities as needed
What You Bring

Qualifications
- At least one year experience in community work, non-profits, health care, or related field in Sarasota County
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Bilingual required (Spanish preferred); Creole, Ukrainian, Portuguese
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Must show proof of valid auto insurance. Must meet underwriting requirements to drive fleet vehicles or personal vehicles for business purposes
Schedule
- Part-time, seasonal role (May 11 – September 11)
- Up to 20 hours per week
- Typical shifts: afternoons to evenings (approximately 2:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
- Availability for up to two Saturdays per month
Working Conditions
- Outdoor work with exposure to heat and weather conditions
- Frequent standing for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Work in active, sometimes noisy environments
