We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to oversee the daily operations of our long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of assisted living and nursing home environments, and a passion for providing exceptional senior and memory care. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining a high standard of resident care, including Alzheimer's and dementia care. The LNHA will play a vital role in fostering a safe, compassionate, and efficient community for our residents.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the overall operation of the nursing home facility, ensuring quality resident care and regulatory compliance
- Develop, implement, and oversee care plans tailored to residents' needs, including memory care and dementia-specific programs
- Manage staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to maintain a motivated and competent team
- Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency
- Ensure medication administration is performed accurately and in accordance with legal standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, families, and community agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident health records, incident reports, and regulatory compliance
- Monitor facility operations related to safety protocols, infection control (including COVID-19 measures), and quality assurance
- Lead efforts in community outreach and engagement to promote the facility’s services within the local senior community
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license required in CT
- Extensive experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes
- Proven leadership and management skills with supervisory experience in healthcare environments
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations governing long-term care facilities
- Experience with budgeting, financial acumen, and operational management
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and resident safety standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, staff, and external agencies
- Compassionate approach to senior care with a focus on dignity and quality of life for residents
