Responsibilities
- Greet guests with enthusiasm and professionalism upon arrival, creating a positive first impression.
- Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, to optimize seating arrangements and wait times.
- Coordinate guest seating by communicating effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Handle phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about reservations and waitlist status.
- Maintain organized reservation logs and waitlist management to support smooth restaurant operations.
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously.
- Support food safety standards by adhering to proper sanitation and organizational procedures in all guest interactions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions.
- Proven organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy service periods.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being.
- Experience in guest services, customer relations, or phone communication enhances suitability for this role.
