Job Title: Warehouse Order Selector
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 3 Months Contract
Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
Job Description:
- Responsible for operating an electric pallet jack, forklift and order picker.
- Selecting the correct products from warehouse racking, labeling product using RF label technology, palletizing product as it is selected to build customer orders and delivering product to the dock in a safe and efficient manner.
- Hand select orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, operates assigned RF unit to create labels, correctly place labels on product, stacks product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures (e.g., no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.).
- Stages pallets for loading on proper dock locations, stretch-wraps product on loading dock, maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, RF unit, and personal protective equipment, and performs pre and post-trip inspections of equipment.
Required:
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
- Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
- Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred.
- This position requires working until all products are accurately selected and loaded including potential overtime on holidays and weekends.
