3rd Shift Crisis Intervention Specialist (12:00 AM–8:00 AM)
Knox County, Ohio
Be the Calm in Someone's Worst Moment.
Mental health crises don't follow a schedule—and neither does hope. As a 3rd Shift Crisis Intervention Specialist with Behavioral Healthcare Partners (BHP), you'll be there when individuals and families need help the most. Whether responding to a behavioral health emergency, conducting a psychiatric assessment, or helping someone safely remain in their community, your work will have an immediate and lasting impact.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy critical thinking, and want to make a real difference without the demands of an ongoing caseload or productivity quotas, this is the opportunity for you.
What You'll Do
As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will:
- Respond to behavioral health crises involving children and adults in homes, hospitals, schools, and other community settings.
- Complete psychiatric hospital pre-screen assessments to determine the most appropriate level of care.
- Develop individualized safety plans that help individuals remain safe and connected to needed services whenever possible.
- Serve as a Public Health Officer with the authority to initiate involuntary hospital admissions when clinically appropriate.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, hospitals, first responders, community agencies, and treatment providers to coordinate crisis response.
- Provide compassionate, person-centered support while helping individuals stabilize during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Every shift offers the opportunity to de-escalate a crisis, support recovery, and potentially save a life.
