JOB SUMMARY
Groomer’s Choice is seeking a driven, customer-focused Independent Accounts Sales Associate to help expand and support our national base of independent pet grooming businesses. This role manages a defined territory, engaging accounts through both outbound prospecting and inbound order making. The ideal candidate thrives in a sales environment that rewards relationship-building, follow-through and consistent pipeline development.
The Sales Associate will leverage an established territory database to re-engage accounts, uncover new opportunities and support resupply needs. Experience with cold-calling will be a plus. Success in this role is built on disciplined outreach, thoughtful territory planning and a consultative sales approach that helps groomers choose the right products for their business.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage a defined book of independent grooming accounts within an assigned territory.

Execute daily outbound call activity to generate new orders, re-engage dormant accounts. and identify product opportunities.

Respond promptly to inbound customer calls and emails regarding product recommendations and resupply needs.

Build, maintain, and grow customer relationships with a focus on trust, responsiveness, and long-term value.

Provide expert product guidance using consultative selling skills.

Understand groomer workflows, challenges and business needs to deliver tailored recommendations across coat care, equipment, tools and related product lines.

Partner with Customer Service and Marketing as needed to support account-specific needs and promotions.

Use modern CRM platform, HubSpot, to manage call activity, pipeline stages, task follow-ups, and account notes.

Maintain accurate customer records, ensuring visibility across the organization.

Report on territory performance, growth opportunities and competitive insights.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS

3-5 years of experience in sales, customer service or account management preferred.

Skilled communicator with strong phone presence and professional etiquette.

Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls while maintaining quality conversations.

Familiarity with modern CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).

Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize a dynamic workload.

Enthusiasm for helping groomers succeed and a genuine interest in the pet care industry.

Pet industry experience is a plus.
