Samsung Maintenance Technician
In simple terms, this job is basically maintaining the chemical supply system that delivers gases and chemicals used to make computer chips at the Samsung Semiconductor factory in Taylor, Texas.
Think of it like being a utility technician for the factory’s chemical supply system. The machines that make chips need very specific gases and chemicals, and your job is to keep those flowing safely and correctly.

· Starting Pay: $20 to $23 per hour (based on experience and shift assignment)

Shift Option
· Shift A (Days) 6:00am to 6:00pm, Sunday to Tuesday every other Wednesday
· Shift B (Nights) 6:00pm to 6:00am, Sunday to Tuesday, every other Saturday
· Shift C (Days) 6:00am to 6:00pm, Thursday to Saturday, every other Wednesday
· Shift D (Nights) 6:00pm to 6:00am, Wednesday to Friday, every other Saturday
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Preemployment Background Check and Drug Screening
· Prior Chemical, HVAC or mechanical experience preferred
· Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety
· Good Written and Verbal communication is required
Most of your work days will look like this…
Handling chemical and gas tanks
- Replace empty tanks with full ones
- Hook up containers that supply chemicals to the factory machines
- Make sure nothing is leaking and everything is connected properly
Checking and maintaining equipment
- Inspect pipes, valves, pumps, and tanks
- Fix small issues or report bigger problems
- Do routine maintenance so systems don’t fail
Monitoring systems
- Use computer screens (HMI) to check pressure, flow, alarms, etc.
- Make sure gas/chemical levels and pressures stay within safe ranges
Walking the facility
- Patrol different areas of the plant
- The job description says 3–5 miles per day walking
Safety checks
- Follow strict safety rules (these chemicals can be hazardous)
- Wear protective gear
- Log what you did during the shift
