Position Summary:
We are seeking a warm, patient, and energetic One’s Teacher to join our dedicated team. This position is responsible for providing a safe, developmentally appropriate, and engaging classroom experience for children ages 2-5. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, love working with toddlers, and thrive in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Provide responsive, respectful, and nurturing care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting children.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that reflects a child-centered, play-based approach.
- Observe and assess each child’s development and communicate progress with families through daily reports and conferences.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, safety, and health regulations.
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required.
- Collaborate with co-teachers and school leadership to maintain a harmonious and supportive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education strongly preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children under 2 years old in a licensed childcare center.
- Knowledge of child development principles and developmentally appropriate practices.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and be on your feet throughout the day.
- Passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing quality early education.
