Cleaning Services Dispatcher - Aviation
Key Purpose
The ISS 1st shift Cleaning Services Dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of cleaning services throughout the American Airlines airport area. This position is responsible for monitoring and dispatching cleaning teams to respond promptly to work orders, service requests, and alerts from restroom sensors. The Dispatcher serves as the central communication point for cleaning staff, manages radio equipment, and supports the daily operations of the airport cleaning program.
Hourly Wage
ISS offers full-time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The hourly pay range for this position is $23.00 per hour-$24.00 per hour.
Work Hours
The work hours for this position are Mon-Fri, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Ideal Candidate Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Prior experience in dispatch, facilities services, janitorial operations, or a similar role preferred.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Basic computer literacy and familiarity with work order management systems.

Experience using two-way radios or similar communication devices.
Key Accountabilities
-
Monitor incoming work orders, service requests, and restroom sensor alerts through the facilities management system.

Dispatch cleaning teams promptly and effectively to address requests and ensure timely resolution.

Track and close out work orders in the system once tasks are completed.

Maintain constant communication with cleaning staff using Relay radios.

Sign out Relay radios at the start of 1st shift and ensure proper return and accountability at the end of shift.

Document daily activity, including completed work orders, outstanding requests, and sensor alerts.

Escalate urgent or unresolved issues to the 1st Shift Manager, Assistant Site Manager, and/or the Site Manager.

Support overall operational efficiency by coordinating staff deployment based on airport traffic flow and workload using information from the FIDS system.

Maintain a professional and customer-service–oriented approach when communicating with staff and airport stakeholders.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Ability to remain seated at a workstation for extended periods.

Occasional need to walk airport concourses or visit work sites for follow-up.

Work is performed in an airport operations office environment with frequent communication to teams in the field.

Must pass airport security clearance requirements.
