POSITION SUMMARY
The Campus Care Team supports the mission of Brown Missionary Baptist Church by overseeing the cleanliness, appearance, functionality, and readiness of church facilities and campus environments. This role provides leadership and coordination for Campus Care Team members while ensuring BMBC campuses remain safe, welcoming, organized, and prepared for worship services, ministry activities, conferences, events, and community engagement.
The Campus Care Team serves with excellence, professionalism, and servant leadership to help create an environment that reflects the spirit, hospitality, and operational standards of BMBC.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Campus Maintenance & Facility Care
- Oversee daily cleaning, setup, and maintenance support for church campuses and ministry environments
- Ensure worship spaces, classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, fellowship areas, and exterior spaces remain clean and ministry-ready
- Monitor campus appearance and operational readiness before, during, and after services and events
- Assist with room setups, furniture arrangements, and event preparation as assigned
- Conduct facility walkthroughs to identify cleanliness, maintenance, or safety concerns
Event & Ministry Support
- Support worship services, conferences, funerals, weddings, outreach events, and special ministry programs
- Coordinate with Operations, Guest Services, Safety, and Ministry Leaders regarding campus needs
- Respond quickly to operational requests and last-minute event adjustments
- Ensure event spaces are properly maintained throughout ministry activities
Safety & Operational Compliance
- Ensure compliance with BMBC safety procedures and operational standards
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, equipment concerns, or security issues promptly
- Assist with emergency response procedures when needed
- Ensure cleaning supplies, equipment, and storage areas remain organized and secure
- Support campus sanitation and health standards
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Monitor inventory levels for cleaning supplies, paper products, setup materials, and equipment
- Assist with ordering and restocking supplies as directed
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and facility tools
- Maintain organized storage and operational areas

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 2–3 years experience in custodial services, facilities operations, maintenance, hospitality, or related field preferred
- Ability to supervise staff and volunteers effectively
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Ability to perform physical labor and facility-related tasks safely
- Reliable transportation required
Preferred
- Experience in church, school, hospitality, or event facility environments
- Experience with facility equipment and operational procedures
- Knowledge of cleaning standards, safety procedures, and maintenance coordination
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work may occur in worship spaces, offices, classrooms, outdoor environments, and event facilities
- Evening, weekend, holiday, and special-event availability required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, lift, push, and move equipment regularly
- Ability to lift cleaning supplies, furniture, setup equipment, and operational materials safely
- Ability to work in physically active and fast-paced environments
