We are a specialty uniform store with two locations one in Rocklin the other in Elk Grove, serving law enforcement, firefighters, first responders, and other public safety personnel. We operate in a fast-paced, service-focused environment and maintain a fragrance-free workplace.
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented In-Store Customer Service Associate to become an integral part of our growing team. All employees are cross-trained and contribute to multiple aspects of store operations.
This position is in Rocklin, CA, but may be required to go to our Elk Grove location on occasion.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and thrives in a high-pressure retail environment. This individual will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while supporting sales, operations, and production tasks.
This is not a normal retail position, it's incredibly specialized and requires extreme attention to detail.
All team members are cross-trained. Candidates must be willing to learn:
- Machine embroidery
- Heat press operation
- Engraving machine operation
- Industrial sewing machine
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and identify their needs
- Explain products and services clearly and professionally
- Direct customers to merchandise, retrieve all items for customers, introduce promotions, and cross-sell products
- Properly fit customers for uniforms
- Enter and process customer orders accurately
- Answer incoming telephone calls
- Provide order status updates
- Maintain organized and visually appealing sales floor
- Maintain accurate inventory and restock shelves
- Return non-purchased merchandise to proper locations
- Ensure all merchandise is properly tagged with pricing and information
- Perform housekeeping duties (including cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, vacuuming, maintaining showroom cleanliness)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Punctual, dependable, and reliable
- Reliable transportation
- Previous experience in sales or customer service preferred
- Professional appearance and courteous demeanor
- Ability to think quickly and problem-solve
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to build rapport with customers
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds
