Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and medical/dental history review
- Deliver a wide range of dental treatments such as restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures
- Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate treatment plans effectively with patients and team members
- Maintain high standards of infection control and aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Use dental imaging tools and medical imaging techniques for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records using electronic health record systems (Dentrix Ascend)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice dentistry as a General Dentist
- Proven experience working in dental clinics or dental offices with proficiency in general dentistry procedures
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical documentation standards
- Experience with dental fabrication techniques and performing dental extractions or root canal therapy preferred
- Familiarity with spanish speaking patient base a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups and coordinate seamlessly with dental assistants
- Excellent communication skills to explain treatment options clearly and compassionately to patients
