We are seeking a highly skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join our dynamic design and engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, schematics, and detailed construction documentation using advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. This role is essential in translating conceptual ideas into accurate, comprehensive plans that adhere to building codes and project specifications. The ideal applicant will possess a strong background in architectural, mechanical, or engineering drafting, with proficiency in 3D modeling and BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for architectural, mechanical, or structural projects using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to interpret design concepts and produce accurate schematics.
- Create construction detail documentation that complies with building codes and industry standards.
- Utilize BIM tools such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or MicroStation to enhance project coordination and visualization.
- Incorporate design revisions efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and clarity.
- Support system design and interior design projects through precise drafting and graphic representation.
- Assist in building code analysis to ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements.
- Prepare presentation graphics and 3D models using SketchUp, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, or SolidWorks as needed.
- Maintain organized CAD files and documentation for seamless project management.
- Contribute to quality control by reviewing drawings for errors or inconsistencies before submission.
Experience
- Proven experience as an AutoCAD Drafter or similar role within architecture, engineering, or construction industries.
- Extensive knowledge of CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, ArchiCAD, and SolidWorks.
- Hands-on experience with 3D CAD modeling software such as Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, or SketchUp.
- Strong understanding of building code compliance and construction detail documentation processes.
- Familiarity with BIM tools for building information modeling (BIM) workflows.
- Experience in construction projects with a focus on system design, interior design, or mechanical systems is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical sketches, schematics, and engineering drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of graphic design principles applicable to technical presentations.
- Prior involvement in building code analysis and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
