Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. Duties
- Maintain and update the general ledger using QuickBooks.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Record journal entries accurately, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards.
- Reconcile accounts on the balance sheet and perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors.
- Manage payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental reporting requirements.
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for internal review and external audits.
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses against forecasts and providing relevant data for financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with double-entry bookkeeping principles and maintain detailed documentation of all transactions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting practices, including GAAP standards and governmental accounting if applicable.
- Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Knowledge of financial concepts related to debits & credits, journal entries, and account analysis.
- Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with proficiency in 10-key typing for data entry accuracy.
- Ability to perform complex account analysis and support budgeting processes effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
