ABOUT THE POSITION
Under direction, plan, organize, manage and coordinate the operation and
maintenance of County buildings and equipment including custodial services;
direct, through subordinate supervisors, the work of a staff engaged in a wide
variety of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled tasks related to the operation,
maintenance, repair and alteration of County buildings and mechanical plant
equipment located in County buildings; function as the back-up to the Emergency
Services Coordinator and perform other duties as required. The list established
will be used to fill the current vacancy and it may also be used to fill other
vacancies during the life of the eligible list.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required
knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain these knowledge and
abilities would be:
Four years of increasingly responsible experience in one or more of the following:
general building maintenance for office and institutional buildings; mechanical
plant equipment maintenance and repair; and provision of custodial services for
office and institutional buildings.
At least two years of the qualifying experience must have included supervisory
responsibilities.
Special Requirement/License Requirement: Possession of a valid California class
C driver license.
