We are seeking a dependable, skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the hotel by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests.
- Repair drywall, paint, flooring, doors, locks, and other building components.
- Maintain pools, landscaping, and exterior areas (if applicable).
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Keep accurate maintenance logs and work orders.
- Coordinate with outside vendors when necessary.
- Assist with room renovations and special projects.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and emergency call-ins.
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC certification is a plus.
- EPA Certification is a plus.
- Pool Operator Certification is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
