Applicants experienced in vascular, ob/gyn and abdomen/small parts is required. Vascular and Echo ultrasound experience is preferred but not required. Sonographer's responsibilities include the following but are not limited to;
- Explains the ultrasound procedure to patients and answer anyquestions they may have.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and sterilize the room in whichthe procedure takes place.
- Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team.
- Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
- Expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, imaging principles and practices, as well as the ability to obtain high-quality images
- Computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functionality
- Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification (New graduates must be board eligible and obtain permanent certification within 6 months of hire)
- Exam review. File work.Restocking supplies/cleaning. Quality Assurance functions. Other duties as assigned.
