Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and industrial settings. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to local electrical codes and safety procedures.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions.
- Handle high-voltage electrical wiring safely while complying with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code for electrical safety) standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical work efficiently on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Conduct routine maintenance on industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues within industrial or commercial electrical systems using systematic diagnostic procedures.
- Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to plan wiring layouts for new installations or upgrades.
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during all phases of work.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
- Demonstrated commercial electrician experience working on various building projects involving electrical wiring, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes to ensure compliance in all work activities.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low voltage systems, and troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
- Skilled in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics for accurate installation and repairs.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects within commercial or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of industrial automation components such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters effectively for testing circuits and components.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Additional handyman skills such as frame carpentry or general construction experience are advantageous but not required.
