Responsibilities
- Supervise daily deli operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently
- Lead and train staff on food safety practices, proper food handling, and customer service excellence
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through efficient food management
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions, order processing, and cash handling with accuracy
- Oversee shift management by scheduling staff, coordinating tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy hours
- Maintain compliance with health regulations and safety standards to guarantee a safe environment for staff and customers
- Conduct staff interviews, performance evaluations, and ongoing training to foster a motivated and skilled team
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and managing food service operations within casual dining or quick service environments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising hospitality teams and managing restaurant or kitchen operations
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations for daily financial tasks
- Familiarity with inventory control techniques, food safety management, and P&L analysis to optimize profitability
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Effective communication skills for team management, training & development, and managerial responsibilities
- Experience in managing shift schedules, supervising staff training programs, and maintaining high standards of food safety
