Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse and Delivery Driver to join our commercial flooring team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, safely handling materials, and delivering products to jobsites professionalism and care. Your approach will ensure timely deliveries, excellent customer service, and smooth warehouse functions.
Duties
- Safely load, unload, and organize inventory using material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks while adhering to safe lifting practices and weight handling guidelines.
- Operate vehicles for deliveries, following designated routes and traffic regulations diligently.
- Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Drive confidently using manual transmission vehicles or commercial trucks, maintaining adherence to all traffic laws and safety standards.
- Deliver products directly to customers’ locations, providing excellent customer service through professional communication and courteous interactions.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs using mobile devices or other digital tools, documenting delivery details and any issues encountered during routes.
- Assist with warehouse operations by moving inventory, organizing stock areas, and supporting team members in manual handling tasks as needed.
Skills
- Forklift certified
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or driver’s license suitable for operating trucks
- Experience in delivery driving with a focus on route planning, time management, and adhering to traffic regulations.
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds routinely
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally during deliveries.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight handling in the workplace.
- Ability to operate mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication purposes efficiently.
