- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional modifications to enhance student engagement and achievement.
- Incorporate educational technology tools to enrich learning experiences in physical education and health topics.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, behavior, and wellness initiatives through meetings or written updates.
- Monitor standardized testing results related to health education or physical fitness assessments to inform instruction.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physical education pedagogy, health sciences, and wellness practices with experience teaching teenagers in middle or high school settings.
- Proven sports coaching experience combined with classroom management skills that foster motivation and teamwork among students.
- Expertise in curriculum development, implementation, and adherence to educational compliance standards such as the Chicago Manual of Style or AP style for educational materials.
- Proficiency in learning technology platforms, educational software, and instructional modifications for students with special needs or diverse learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration, public speaking engagements, and mentoring students.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and working with children from varied cultural backgrounds.
