Description:
The RN position is a full-time, Monday through Friday position where the candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Provide and/or supervise required program nursing services to each participant.
- Supervise other Nursing Care staff.
- Delegate responsibilities to Medication Technician's and CNA's.
- Coordinate the development of ongoing reviews of the participant's plan of care.
- Write nursing notes in the participant's chart.
- Assist in the delivery of other required program services when necessary.
- Provide overall supervision in the center in the absence of the Program Director.
- Assess all new admissions on day of admission and provide 5 progress notes for the participant's first 5 days of attendance.
- Document monthly vital signs and weights obtained by nursing assistants and follow up on any significant changes.
- Administer medications as ordered.
- Complete ADCAP assessments every 90 days or as needed (significant changes).
- Complete InterRai Assessments.
- Conduct multidisciplinary Care Plan meetings and complete evaluation every 5 months or as needed (significant changes).
- Complete incident reports and provide adequate documentation and follow up in medical records.
- Communicate with care providers on any changes in participant's care.
- Initiate Plan of Care on all problems identified for each participant.
- Obtain and implement orders received from physician and notify Care Provider of any changes.
- Maintain infection-control policies.
Requirements:
Candidate must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Maryland and must have current CPR and First Aid. Must have strong computer skills.
