Mechanical Assembly
Pay: $23-$26
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Summary
This position is hands-on and requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment. Assemblers play a key role in producing high-quality products that meet strict customer specifications.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble products according to job specifications using hand tools, power tools, hoists, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Read and interpret measurements accurately (must be able to use a tape measure down to 1/16 inch).
- Perform mechanical assembly with some electrical connections and functional testing.
- Follow work direction from lead assemblers and experienced employees.
- Move material to and from assembly area using pallet jacks and hoists.
- Inspect product for quality and accuracy, signing off on completed work.
- Package finished product for safe, damage-free shipment.
- Assist other assemblers with lifting or equipment operation as needed.
- Provide backup support for warehouse tasks including pallet banding, skid building, and loading/unloading trucks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch (required).
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to follow instructions, work within a team, and meet production timelines.
- Must be safety-conscious, dependable, and detail-oriented.
