Louisville Country Club is seeking a professional, high-energy Line Cook to join our premier culinary team. Schedule & Availability
- Shifts: Flexible availability for both AM (7:00 am start) and PM (closing) shifts.
- Weekends: Regular weekend availability is required.
- Holidays: Mandatory availability for major club holidays, including Mother’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and the 4th of July.
- Clubs is closed on Mondays, offering a consistent weekly day off.
Key Responsibilities
- Setup and stock stations with all necessary supplies for service.
- Prepare and cook menu items (Sauté, Grill, Broiler, Fry, Garde Manger) to exact recipe specifications and temperature.
- Execute food preparation for daily dining as well as large-scale club banquets and private events.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation while adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure consistency in plate presentation and quality.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours and accommodate special dietary requests when needed.
- Assist in inventory management and daily prep lists.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related food industry role; restaurant experience is highly valued.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques.
- Ability to plan menus creatively while adhering to nutritional guidelines.
- Excellent food handling skills with a focus on safety and sanitation.
- Familiarity with catering operations and serving in high-volume environments.

Requirements
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant or private club.
- Skills: Strong knife skills and proficiency with various cooking methods.
- Stamina: Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Attributes: A team-first attitude, professional appearance and a desire for continuous improvement.
- Certification: Valid Food Handler’s Permit (ServSafe preferred).
