Physician Outreach Specialist

REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Physician Outreach Specialist serves as the primary liaison between Utah Cancer Specialists (UCS) and current and prospective referring providers. This position is responsible for developing, strengthening, and maintaining referral relationships through strategic outreach, effective communication, and ongoing engagement. The Physician Outreach Specialist supports organizational growth by increasing provider awareness of UCS physicians, clinics, and services while fostering exceptional relationships with referral partners throughout the service area.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to establish, develop, and maintain professional relationships with physicians and healthcare providers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret referral data, identify trends, and recommend strategic initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism in all interactions.
- Knowledge of healthcare referral processes and physician practice operations preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout the Utah Cancer Specialists service area.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in healthcare marketing, physician relations, provider outreach, business development, sales, or a related healthcare field preferred.
- Medical Assistant or other clinical healthcare experience is a plus.
