What you’ll do
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff to promote a positive team environment and enhance performance.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
- Utilize POS systems such as Plum POS for efficient cash handling and order processing.
- Implement training & development programs to foster staff growth and enhance culinary experience.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure an outstanding dining experience.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or as an assistant manager in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of food handling practices, culinary techniques, and kitchen management principles.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in fine dining or casual dining settings is highly desirable.
- Background in hospitality management or food service management is a plus.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting within a restaurant context.
