REPORTS TO: General Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Participates in maintenance operations of exterior and interior facilities. Ensures implementation of all maintenance programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area free of hazards.
- Maintains adequate inventory of tools and supplies for maximum employee productivity.
- Performs special assignments as requested.
- Manages in compliance with established company policies and procedures as well as Local, State and Federal laws and regulations.
- Ensures implementation of an ongoing energy conservation program.
- Monitors the level and quality of services performed by outside contractors in accordance with all lease agreements, service contracts and warranties.
- Ensures implementation of an ongoing preventive maintenance program for equipment and guest rooms.
- Maintains accurate equipment records to include serial numbers and preventive maintenance programs of all equipment.
- Ensures timely response to requests for services by guests, employees and management to include repair or replacement of all interior fixtures and furnishings.
- Increases the level of guest satisfaction by delivery of an improved product through employee development, job engineering and quality image.
- Maintains emergency procedures and equipment and assists with the implementation of emergency procedures for the safety of guests and employees.
- Maintains the departmental communication through the effective use of staff meetings, log books and bulletin boards.
- Performs other related and unrelated tasks as assigned by management
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Environmental Conditions: Inside and outside: Partially protected from weather conditions but may require outside work up to 50% of shift, e.g., grounds maintenance, parking lot maintenance/repair.
Essential Skills: Must possess basic knowledge, skill, and ability in energy conservation, electrical, mechanical, architectural engineering, refrigeration, heating and cooling, plumbing fields as well as in safety precautions. Requires effective communication skills.
Educational/Vocational Preparation: Associate's degree in vocational field and/or vocational training in mechanical, architectural engineering, refrigeration, heating and cooling, or pluming field is preferred but not required. On-the-job training may substitute for educational/vocational training requirements.'
