Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Scale Operator to join our team at HW Green Company. As a metal recycling Scale Operator you will be responsible for weighing and recording the weight of incoming and outgoing shipments. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate measurements and maintaining inventory records.
Duties:
- Operate scales and weighing equipment to accurately measure the weight of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Record weight information in the system or on appropriate documentation
- Verify the accuracy of weights against shipping documents.
- Communicate with warehouse personnel to coordinate the movement of shipments
- Quality customer service a must. Responsible for daily cash drawer reports and balancing.
- Use scale software systems or other technology to track inventory movements and customer sales.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a metal recycling facility or similar environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with scale software preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Knowledge of metals preferred.
Spanish speaking a plus.
