Description:
Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Skilled Laborer with a strong interest and experience in carpentry to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of construction tasks while supporting carpenters in residential, commercial, and renovation projects. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist carpenters with framing, installation, and finishing work.

Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other building materials according to specifications.

Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.

Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment around job sites.

Prepare and clean work areas before, during, and after construction activities.

Assist with installing doors, windows, cabinets, trim, drywall, and other carpentry-related components.

Follow blueprints, sketches, and supervisor instructions to complete assigned tasks.

Perform demolition and site preparation as needed.

Maintain compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Work collaboratively with crew members, subcontractors, and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications

Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic construction math.

Knowledge of common carpentry tools and equipment.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
Preferred Qualifications

3 years of carpentry or general construction experience.

Experience with framing, trim work, or remodeling projects.
