Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to help them select the right shoes based on their needs and preferences
- Conduct engaging product demos to highlight features, comfort, and style of footwear options
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shoes are properly stocked and organized on the sales floor
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell complementary products such as socks, insoles, or accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and processing shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, offering fitting advice, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in footwear or apparel environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in team settings
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math is essential for smooth transactions
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette to engage customers professionally over the phone or in person
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and stock management enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Previous work in grocery store or retail environments will be advantageous for understanding fast-paced sales dynamics
