Education and Experience: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation or an equivalent field.
Knowledge: Basic understanding of Parks and Recreation departments and operations. Operation of standard office equipment including personal computers and Microsoft Office software preferred.
Skills: Interpersonal skills necessary to be courteous of fellow employees and residents while performing duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions: Assist staff with clerical tasks using basic computer skills. Assist with recreation activities. Contact vendors and assist with coordinating events. Assist the recreation manager at the Development Center. Performs other related duties as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in an office or recreation center; however, time is spent outside exposed to temperature extremes, dirt, dust, noise, etc.
